Frill gets a lot right: a clean board, roadmap and announcements, and unlimited teammates and tracked users on every plan. So why look for an alternative? Three reasons come up.
No free plan. Frill offers a 14-day trial and then you pay. Most tools on this list have a free tier you can stay on.
The cap and the add-ons. Startup at $25 allows 50 active ideas. Private boards, more surveys and white labeling are sold on top below Growth, and Growth at $149 is the first plan that includes all three. We broke it down in Frill pricing explained.
Web only. Frill is a JavaScript feedback widget. If your product is an iOS or macOS app, your users vote in an embedded web view. There is no native SDK.

UserJot has the two things Frill lacks at the low end: a free plan and no cap on ideas. The free tier includes two boards and three admins, and its $29 Starter buys five boards with a custom domain and private boards, which Frill charges extra for.
Sleekplan includes NPS and CSAT surveys from its $13 Starter plan, where Frill includes one survey on Startup and sells more as an add-on. The free Indie plan is a single-admin workspace with unlimited feedback.
Upvoty starts at $15 for one project with unlimited boards and no cap on ideas, against Frill's $25 with 50 active ideas. The changelog and integrations start at $25, the same price as Frill's entry tier.
FeedBear is a plainer board than Frill with no idea cap on any tier. Lite is $19 for one board and one member, so it trades Frill's unlimited teammates for a lower entry price.
Canny is the integration-heavy option: Jira, Salesforce, Intercom, Zendesk and AI deduplication. If you were stretching Frill with Zapier, Canny is the step up, at $79 a month billed yearly from 100 tracked users.
Fider matches Frill's unlimited teammates and removes the idea cap and the add-ons, because it is your server: an open-source board with ideas, votes and statuses, deployed with Docker and PostgreSQL.
