Tracked users, plan tiers, and the point where the bill takes off. A clear breakdown before you commit.

The short answer. Canny has three plans in 2026: a free plan for up to 25 tracked users, a Pro plan from $79 per month billed yearly ($99 monthly) that covers your first 100 tracked users and climbs from there, and a custom Business plan for 5,000 or more. The old Starter and Growth plans are gone. What you actually pay depends far less on the tier and far more on one number: your tracked users. That is the number this article is really about.
| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | Tracked users | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 25 | 5 managers, unlimited contributors, boards, roadmap, changelog, Autopilot included, Canny branding stays |
| Pro | from $79/mo | from $99/mo | 100, then a slider | 10 managers, custom domain, project management integrations. Price rises with tracked users |
| Business | Custom quote | 5,000+ | SSO, CRM integrations, priority support, sales call required | |

The free plan is more generous in features than most: unlimited posts, public and private boards, a roadmap, a changelog, integrations and API access, five manager seats with unlimited contributors, and Autopilot, Canny's AI deduplication, included. The catch is the ceiling. It covers 25 tracked users in total, not per month.
A tracked user is anyone who posts, votes, or comments, so 25 is a couple of dozen engaged customers. For a product with real users, the free plan lasts weeks, not years, and the next step is Pro at $79 a month billed yearly. The free plan also keeps Canny's branding, has no custom domain, and cannot email changelog updates to subscribers.
A tracked user is any customer whose feedback lives in your Canny workspace. Someone who posts an idea, votes, comments, or gets linked to a request by your team counts toward the limit. Your teammates do not drive the price, your customers do.
That model has a built-in irony. The whole point of a feedback tool is getting as many of your users as possible to participate. With tracked-user billing, every success on that front nudges your bill upward.
Pro is a slider, not a price. $79 a month buys the first 100 tracked users. Publicly reported steps above that run roughly $129 at 200 users, $279 at 500, $529 at 1,000, $729 at 2,000, and $1,079 at 5,000, all billed yearly. Canny lets you set an optional spend limit and pauses upgrades when you hit it, which is a nice touch and also a sign of how often the slider moves on its own.
Monthly billing costs about 25% more. The advertised numbers assume a yearly commitment. Month to month, Pro starts at $99 instead of $79 and reaches roughly $661 at 1,000 tracked users instead of $529.
The quote is a process. Business pricing has no public number and cannot be switched on from inside the product. Budgeting for it means booking a sales call, which makes cost comparisons harder than they should be.
For mid-size and larger product teams, it can be. Canny's integrations with Jira, Salesforce, Intercom, and the rest of the enterprise stack are the most mature in the category, and features like Autopilot deduplicate and mine feedback from other tools automatically. If your team leans on those daily, the price buys real leverage.
If you mainly need a place where users can post ideas and vote, you are paying for a platform when a board would do. That describes plenty of teams at every size, from indie apps to serious SaaS businesses.
WishKit prices the feedback board flat: free plan to start, Premium at $15 per month, and the price never moves with how many users leave feedback. Unlimited users can submit, vote, and comment. iOS, macOS, visionOS, watchOS and tvOS apps get a native SwiftUI SDK, websites embed the same board with two lines of HTML, and feature requests can even come straight from posts on X.

Yes. The free plan includes boards, roadmap, changelog, integrations, five managers and Autopilot, but it caps at 25 tracked users in total. Once 26 customers have posted, voted or commented, the next step is Pro at $79 a month billed yearly.
Most likely your tracked-user count crossed a threshold. Pro pricing steps up on a slider as more of your customers appear in the system, even if your team and usage stayed the same. Setting a spend limit in Canny stops the automatic upgrades.
Canny retired them in 2025 and replaced the lineup with Free, Pro, and Business. The old $50 Starter plan no longer exists; the cheapest paid option is now Pro at $79 a month billed yearly.
