SongSheet will sync its database of songs and setlists via iCloud. Once turned on, all devices on the same AppleID will share the same song library, and changes on one device will automatically propagate to the other devices (including SongSheet on macOS). This will include all songs, setlists, tags, themes, etc in a library.
Add annotation and markup tools for PDFs and songs, including handwritten notes, freehand drawing, highlighting, and colour selection using Apple Pencil, stylus, finger, or touch input. Also support pinch-to-zoom on imported PDFs so users can more easily review, mark up, and annotate charts, lyrics, notes, and song changes during rehearsals and performances.
Add richer lyric formatting and theme customisation, including custom fonts, text colours, background colours, and improved layout options for stanza types, lyric lines, and selected words or phrases. This would help performers identify harmonies, backing vocals, duet parts, singer entries, difficult cues, tempo reminders, and special vocal instructions during live performance, especially in bands with multiple singers.
Be able to control multiple devices from a single lead device, to keep all band members in sync displaying the same song automatically, etc.
SongSheet Pro for macOS - add & edit songs and setlists. Manage your library. Print. Share. Sync with iPad & iPhone.
Add support for custom guitar chord voicings and diagrams within chord sheets. Users should be able to define specific chord shapes/fingerings and display compact chord diagrams inline with lyrics or chords, making it easier to remember uncommon voicings, alternate fingerings, capo-specific shapes, or song-specific chord positions during performance.
Showing the capo fret number adjacent to the song key in set lists would be a huge help to know where to position the capo without having to first open the song. This drives efficiencies while performing and managing songs and set lists. Thank you.
Be able to step through songs (especially PDFs) page by page using a bluetooth pedal, rather than by section.
It would be helpful to easily adjust scrolling speed to make learning new songs easier.
Be able to make audio recordings within SongSheet to attach to songs/stanzas/etc.
Allow chords to be displayed or entered using the Nashville Number System and optionally Roman Numerals (uppercase for major, lowercase for minor). Include a conversion option between letter chords and numbers based on the song key, and an optional Nashville chart/header at the top of a song for quick reference during accompaniment.
Ability to edit song in tabular 2 or 3 column format . (Side by side format) This allows easy edit for boy-girl formatting of song.
Enable to search through the whole lyric for keywords
Add support for searching and importing songs from Ultimate Guitar, in addition to WorshipReady. Users want access to Ultimate Guitar’s larger catalogue of chord sheets/tabs, ideally through an integrated search and import flow similar to SongbookPro, so songs can be found and added directly without manual copying.
An on board Metronome would make this app even better! A Metronome that you could click on while viewing your song sheet would be so amazing! This metronome would need to have a feature where you can use it in stereo or have a right and left option in case we are running tracks and want to assign the click.
It would be great to be able to add backing tracks from sources other than just through iTunes. This way it can all be done on an iPad without having to use a computer to upload songs into iTunes.
Could yall add PreChorus to the list of song sections (intro, verse, PreChorus, chorus, bridge) example
The ability to replace and save loaded names for stanzas with user defined terms, e.g., instead of Verse, Chorus I use V and C to save indentation real estate. I also use Outro, and Pre Chorus.
Change the capo position same as we change the key, without unnecessarily entering the Edit mode.
I use this app for music writing. It is an awesome app. It would be great to just have the ability to record with it. That would make it perfect for song writing or sharing arrangements with other members of the group.
I know I can create custom chords per song, but I’d like to be able to add to the library of options. I often need to add “NC” as a custom chord, and it’d be great to be able to add it once and be able to use it for every new song I add. There are other things I use, but not nearly as often as NC.
One touch to slowdown scroll and two touches to speed up scroll to enable all band members to be at the same place together
Allow users to choose which fields appear (e.g., title, artist, duration, BPM, capo, notes/effects). Support print-specific sorting (e.g., alphabetical by title or artist) without changing the performance order of the setlist.
Often when changing keys, say up a third from G, what should be a Bb chord shows up as A#; this often happens if I use the capo function, say capo 3, then use ‘no capo’ for my keyboard player
Currently SongSheet doesn't support the full range of formatting options that the on-screen themes support e.g. colour. It would be nice to be able to format generated PDFs (and printouts) with the same options as on-screen.
I’d like to slide songs from one set list into a new one, so if you have a 1.5 hour set you could make another 1 hour set that’s based on the original without having to go through the song list again.
Hope you can have a feature where we can lock a version as our base version of the song
Please get rid of the tempo slider and let us type in the tempo
I emailed awhile ago and wanted to check in about it. I play in several different bands and wish there was a way to have different and totally isolated ‘books’ within the app. 1 friend bypassed requesting this and now has 5 different apps to manage his master catalogue. Id love to have “old jazz” book, “classic jazz”, “Band #2 Book”, and so on. I now know multiple musicians that would love this feature. It’s too overwhelming to have 289 songs to look at, when I only want to see 48. Thank you
Add automatic sorting options for setlists to make it easier to manage large rehearsal setlists and quickly find songs. - Allow automatic sorting of setlists. - At minimum, support sorting by song title (alphabetical). Also optionally by: Recently added, Recently edited • Useful when setlists are used as large rehearsal song lists (20–40 songs) during rehearsals before organising them into smaller performance sets.
Add an edit menu option for lyrics selections that provides a shortcut for capitalising selected words.
Add an optional column to the left of set lists that sequentially numbers (1,2,3,4…) each song. The numbering would stay as the set list gets rearranged. That would make it so much easier and faster locating a song in a long set list. As a gigging musician we often jump around in a set list, especially in long gigs with set lists that are 40-50 songs long. Simply scrolling down to a number would be so much easier than trying to spot a title.
Please add a feature to find the song and lesson on YouTube. It really helps with learning the song.
Be able to import/display songs that are in Word document format.
SongSheet Pro for Android tablets and smartphones.
Ability to search and find a set list by name Ability to search and find for song just within the set list
I wish if it supported Arabic copy and paste And especially the letter (ع) cause the app is not recognizing it
Didn’t the app have a “smart set list” feature where one could develop a set just with a keyword? I don’t remember what I used it for, but I remember it was convenient.
Add advanced MIDI integration for songs, playlists, and song sections, including programmable MIDI Program Change and Control Change messages sent automatically when opening a song or moving between sections (intro, verse, chorus, etc.). Support multiple saved MIDI setups per song for different instruments/rigs, and allow control of keyboards, drum machines, MIDI files, and guitar modeling hardware via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or MIDI connections.
iOS 18 allows for dark icons now. Songsheet Pro is the only app on my iPad that sticks out like a sore thumb amongst all my other (updated) dark icons. Thanks.
Would be nice to see a revision date somewhere, we make changes and then have another copy, then forget which is the most recent
Ability to stop the scrolling of a pdf when you play the backing track you’ve linked to the pdf.
It would be really handy to have a copy feature. For instance, if you import a PDF and convert the song, it is written over. It would be handy to be able to keep the original in that instance or make a copy in a different key for a player.
Thank you!
I want to be able to see my lyrics I’m using and the Setlists at the same time so I know which song is next without having to close the lyrics I’m using
An additional line (maybe in italics) to not have extra chords, but to denote that there are backing vocals which aren’t the same line as the main vocal line
Show large number count in when using tempo, i.e. 4, 3, 2, 1 on the screen
Add the possibility to add a sticky note to a pdf (maybe changes structure or notes on how to play each part) on a moveable note
Often I like to have a few measures of sheet music displayed for an intro or outdo for piano or other instrument. I would like to paste an image into the chart.
Add chord spelling preferences when transposing or displaying songs, allowing users to choose whether chords are shown as sharps or flats (e.g. A# vs Bb, C# vs Db) globally, per song, or per key. Users should also be able to save preferred chord spellings so transposed charts remain easier to read for their instrument or personal preference, without needing to manually correct chords after every key change.
Add a 2 page view and horizontal scroll
Some songs are shorter and it would be nice to be able to zoom in on those without it affecting other songs.
When using a capo; I would love to be able to transpose a key and the chords transpose with it. Will create customs with hyphens to show a quick chord pattern turn around (G-C-D) for example. Only the root chord changes.
I use mainly PDF files. When the PDF file is only one page long, but longer than the page view, (meaning scroll doesn’t work), I can’t see the bottom of the lyrics or music because that scroll feature doesn’t recognize that it’s more than one page. So many of my lyrics and chords are cut off at the bottom of the page.
I’d like to have parts of my set list labeled already rather than every time having to edit “Set”
Used to be able to create a new chart from various areas of the app including a set list. It would then add to the set list and also to the full library. Option has been removed.
I find Worshipready.com quite limited in their library. Please add more resources to integrate with, like Praisecharts.com
This will be very helpful for all those who play wind instruments
Hello. I miss an undo-bottom. Have ex. try to delete a song in my set by a mistake and it would be nice there with this function. Regards Claus Andreassen
Have the flexibility of stanza and song changing with my foot, would be a real blessing.
Have the ability to link stanzas to specific time codes to have a more accurate scrolling speed for different sections of a song.
Have a template to create a chord chart for instrumental music. Chose time signature and number of bars to add chords to similar to band-in-a-box.
It would be nice to be able to export only the lyrics for the singers that don’t need chords. Thank you.
It would be good to have the option to export songs or set lists with the information you want. For example, excluding the key if you’re saying the set list with a client or including the artist name etc etc
When I don't have time to backtrack with the arrangement, It would nice to be able to be able to backtrack with the auto scroll but I don't use that feature because I can't pull up the text or push it down when it is not in sync with the music. If you could make the lyrics, just as fluid as the auto scroll being able to pull the words up and down during the backing track without auto scroll, that would really help,
Problem: Currently, the chord chart pages in the app cannot be aligned to the right. This creates difficulties for users who read and write in right-to-left languages such as Hebrew and Arabic, as the text layout feels unnatural and harder to follow. Proposed Solution: Introduce an option for right-to-left (RTL) alignment. This feature would allow users to switch the chord chart display so that text and chords align to the right side of t
you can import songs that other people make and put the most popular at the top
For us computer illiterate users, simply step by step instructions, that we can actually repeat unsupervised.
Add an option to the filter or sort for No Tag. There’s no way other than looking at every file to find songs without a tag. Adding to the pdf/csv export is another option.
I play in a wedding band (piano) as well as doing solo gigs (guitar and vocals). There are a lot of songs that overlap in the Band and Solo playlist but most of them are in different keys (as well as using capo for the guitar playlist). I would like to be able to set an individual key against the same song but it different playlists (“A” in the Band playlist but “C Capo 3” in the Solo playlist.
Gabe, the A-Z scroll column on the right side of the library list is far too small to actually use with a finger swipe. Occasionally it engages, most of the time not and is useless but needed. Can you make the font size adjustable or make that column a wider piece of the view, and thus more real-estate for a finger tip swipe to engage in. There is a lot of unused and available space to the left of that column. Thank you. Terry
Export a setlist not only as a table of song names, but as a mutli-page PDF, containing all songs from the setlist, in order in which they appear in the setlist.
Add a function that will scramble the list of songs in a set list into a new, random order.
Adding a field at the bottom left for “Other” or something similar (such as a YouTube URL) would big help, rather than have to bring up a full- sized note, it would be easily visible from the song itself.
I would like to be able to mix songs with arranged accompaniment and prepare my arrangements for a performance instead of playing complete songs.
The ability to line up lyrics and chords with corresponding beats and bar line I real pro hybrid style
To adjust pdf sheets in the app.
It would be super helpful if there was a stage plot editor included. Thanks!
Photo behind lyrics on external display and same font size from stanza to stanza
Music With Chords And Songs
Can you add an option to add a pre count before the start of a song? So you’ll get a count in. Seems to me a useful function.
Se debería permitir dibujar o agregar imágenes de cómo se hace algún tono en la canción
Have it click or tap at start of a song
I have performance notes (eg quiet picking on this verse) and harmony note names, inline with the songs. It would be great if I could distinguish them from the songs with bold, colour, etc. It would also be great to show the parts I sing and don't sing the same way.
- add the ability to set the length of each song, either mm:ss or decimal minutes. - in a set list (on screen and when exported/printed), show the cumulative time at the start of each song, so I can track how I am going with my time through the set. At the moment I do this by manually adding the time at the start of each song title, and have to change it for each set.
I believe you can sort your main song list by most recently added, but not a setlist
1. Ability to enlarge song lyrics and chord font sizes on external display (non demo mode) 2. Font color choices for each stanza.
Many times we’ll mashup songs and it would be handy to allow the user to jump to another chart from a link in the current chart.
Be able to scroll through the sheet while playback is playing without pausing the playback. Right now, regardless if the audio is synced or not with the scrolling, if I touch the screen the audio playback stops. This is very bad for live performance, as any touch to the screen would disrupt the playback from playing. There should be an option to detach playback with the scrolling, so we can scroll freely and the audio will keep playing
It would be nice to be able to drag the chords freely to any position, without being tied to the end of a line. For example, I’d like to move the chords from above the lyrics to below the lyrics, because that’s how I learned to play when I was younger.
Sometimes I enjoy singing some of my older songs & It would be nice to be able to go to a bookmarked page to continue where I left off. Iʻd like to have maybe 1-3 book markers, to "jump to" where I was last. This could also help band members remember where they left off in the practice. =)
I try to include audio files to all my songs. But I also want to be able to sing it without the audio file. My request is to have a button to show that there is an MP3 file, and to easily click a button to disable the audio. Going one step further I wish I could attach another audio file that would be just instrumental, Without vocals.
An option to set a key change within a song so the chords shift accurately from that point. I have a few songs with a key change which marks a C as a B# and F as an E# which is distracting when reading
This function would automatically detect the length of the longest line, and adjust the display zoom automatically. This would allow to have optimal size without unwanted line breaks. At the moment I have to resort to adding and ajusting manually a ————>|| line on top of each individual song to know what the zoom ratio should be 😭
• The Goal: To manually sync lyrics/chords to a backing track so the app highlights exactly where I am in the song in real-time. • The "How": Add a "Record Timing" mode where I tap each line or chord as the song plays to set a timestamp. • The Benefit: This eliminates guesswork and ensures I never lose my place during instrumentals or complex sections.
Be able to zoom in & out of PDFs
When working with lots of tags, it would be very welcome to have a quicksearch field on top where you can type the first few letters and the applicable tags are shown.
Add the ability to quickly hide or show the chords in a song. Currently I just make a copy and remove the chords, which is tedious and causes library bloat.
Currently, setting a capo position changes the key and chords, but in many cases one may want to keeps the chords/fingering the same. An option for capo to “not transpose” would be helpful in this situation
This would be an excellent feature and improve consistency and ease and speed of update. This would be great. We keep and maintain our entire repertoire on this excellent app. Many Thanks, Paul
